Ambassador Ebuk calls for increased Uganda-Russia cultural cooperation

Uganda's Ambassador to the Russian Federation, H.E. Dr. Moses Ebuk has called for increased cultural cooperation between Uganda and the Russian Federation. He made the call in June 7th-8th, 2014 during the opening ceremony of the Africa Festival held in Etnomir, Kaluga.

Ambassador Ebuk led the Ugandan delegation in showcasing Uganda's traditional dress and interested the Russians to taste the Ugandan gin and chew the Ugandan roasted coffee beans.
With a screen highlighting Uganda's tourism potentials, The Embassy stall consisted of Ugandan crafts, foods, gin, coffee, tea, wears, brochures from tourism companies and DVDs on Ugandan people and their culture, organic foods, dances, butterflies and birds which were given out freely.

Other Africa countries which took part in the festival included Madagascar, Cameroon, Tanzania, Gabon and Egypt.

The event presented a perfect opportunity for the promotion of Uganda's culture and tourism. Ambassador Ebuk thanked Etnomir for organizing the festival and assured the organisers of Embassy¡¯s commitment to take part the in subsequent annual events.
