Maj. Gen.(Rtd) Jim K. Muhwezi, the Minister for Security represented Uganda in the 12^th High Level Security Meeting. High-ranking officials from around the world gathered in Saint Petersburg from April 22nd to 25th, 2024. This prestigious event provided a platform for global leaders to discuss and address pressing security challenges facing their respective nations.

The Hon. Minister held a bilateral meeting with Mr. Nikolai Patrushev, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation where both leaders signed an Agreement to enhance Security Cooperation between the Republic of Uganda and the Russian Federation.
