he Embassy of the Republic of Uganda is participating in the 31st International Exhibition of Tourism and Hospitality Industry (MITT), taking place from 18th to 20th March 2025 at the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre, Pavilion 1, in Moscow. 
A delegation of 15 Ugandan tourism enterprises arrived to showcase Uganda’s rich cultural heritage and vast tourism potential to a global audience.

H.E. Golovchenko, visited Uganda on official visit at the invitation of his host, he held a one-on-one meeting with H.E. Yoweri Museveni the President as members of Belarus’ official delegation led by their First Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Lukashevich held talks with their Ugandan counterparts led by the Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja.

Later, the Belarusian head of government, his host President Museveni, and their delegations held joint bilateral talks aimed at further strengthening bilateral cooperation in strategic sectors.

The event commemorated 62 years since Uganda gained her independence from British rule on 9th October 1962. The event was also used to celebrate the cordial diplomatic ties between Uganda and Russian Federation dating back to 1962.

The Ministerial Meeting which took place in Sochi on 9^th – 10^th November 2024, was the first at the level of Ministers, and was against the backdrop of two Summits of Heads of State of the Russia Africa Partnership Forum, held in October 2019 in Sochi and July 2023 in St. Petersburg.

On 16th October 2024, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uganda presented his copies of the Credentials to H.E. Bakhtiyor Odilovich Saidov, Minister of Foreign Affairs, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The Minister congratulated and welcomed the Ambassador and his delegation to Tashkent, He informed him that the Ambassador was the first Ugandan Ambassador to be accredited to Uzbekistan a great milestone to cement the bilateral relations between both States.

The meeting was a sideline meeting during the 4th Eurasian Women Forum that was held between 18th to 20th September 2024 in St. Petersburg.

During discussions, H.E. Alupo conveyed warm greetings from H.E President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the Government and the people of Uganda. She appreciated the Eurasian Women’s forum for the platform through which women and many pertinent issues are being discussed
