The Republic of Uganda participated in the 4th Let’s travel Russia from 12th to 16th June 2024 The Let’s Travel! Russian Tourism Forum is one of the most influential events in the tourism industry and showcases the tourism potential of countries around the world. Uganda was the only African country that showcased her tourism potential. The Uganda delegation was led by Hon. Martin Mugarra Bahinduka the Minister of State for Tourism accompanied by Mr. Vivian Lyazi the Commissioner for Tourism development.

On May 21, 2024,H.E. Moses Kawaaluuko Kizige, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uganda to the Russian Federation held a meeting was Hon.Olga.Yu. Guseva the Minister of International and Interregional Relations of the Nizhny Novgorod Region .The duo discussed issues related to mutual cooperation between the Republic of Uganda and Nizhny Novgorod. These to include in research and scientific findings, trade and investmment, tourism,education and Agriculture..

Maj. Gen.(Rtd) Jim K. Muhwezi, the Minister for Security represented Uganda in the 12th High Level Security Meeting. High-ranking officials from around the world gathered in Saint Petersburg from April 22nd to 25th, 2024.

During the recently concluded 12^th International Meeting of High Ranking Officials responsible for Security, in St. Petersburg, Russia, the Minister for Security of the Republic of Uganda held a bilateral meeting with his counterpart of the Republic of Belarus.
